AI adoption in regulated organisations is stalling on one thing: nobody can prove how a decision was made. We have spent since 2021 building the answer - a deterministic risk engine, versioned control libraries, reviewer routing with real segregation of duties, and an evidence trail that survives audit.

This is unusually substantial engineering. Every rule is versioned, every decision is traceable, and the product itself moves under governed change control. If you want a role where correctness genuinely matters and the work is inspected by quality, privacy, security and audit functions, this is that role.

Principal Platform Engineer

Own the architecture of the AIRAS control plane: multi-tenant data model, ruleset versioning, evidence storage and the integration surface that lets AIRAS sit beside GRC, ITSM, CMDB and identity platforms.

What you will own

Set and defend the technical architecture for tenancy isolation, evidence integrity and append-only audit history.
Lead the design of versioned configuration: risk dimensions, policy packs, control libraries and workflow rules.
Build the API, webhook and connector layer to enterprise-grade reliability and security standards.
Establish engineering standards, review discipline and governed release practice across the team.

What we look for

10+ years building production SaaS platforms, with meaningful time at principal or staff level.
Deep experience with multi-tenant data isolation, authorisation models and audit-grade data design.
Strong TypeScript and modern React, plus solid relational modelling in PostgreSQL.
Track record delivering into regulated or security-reviewed enterprise environments.

Nice to have

Exposure to GRC, quality management, validated systems or model risk tooling.
Experience with SOC 2 or ISO 27001 evidence programmes.

Head of AI Risk Engineering

Own the deterministic risk engine end to end: dimensions, weights, mandatory floors, prohibited-use checks, explanation traces and the governed process by which any of it changes.

What you will own

Lead risk model design and versioning, with a defensible rationale behind every rule.
Translate EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001 and sector obligations into structured, testable logic.
Build the evaluation harness that proves the engine behaves consistently across ruleset versions.
Partner with design partners' risk, quality and legal functions to validate the model in practice.

What we look for

8+ years in model risk, quantitative risk, safety engineering or AI assurance.
Demonstrable ability to turn regulatory text into deterministic, explainable rules.
Comfort writing and reviewing production code, not only specifications.
Experience presenting risk methodology to executive and regulatory audiences.

Nice to have

Background in pharma GxP, financial model risk management or clinical safety.

Principal Product Manager, Governance Lifecycle

Own the eight-stage governance lifecycle as a product: intake, assessment, controls, review routing, decisions, monitoring, reassessment and evidence export.

What you will own

Define the operating model regulated customers adopt, then make the product make it obvious.
Run discovery with governance leads, quality, privacy, security and internal audit functions.
Own configuration standards so customers can adapt without forking the product.
Hold the line on scope, sequencing and evidence quality across releases.

What we look for

8+ years in B2B enterprise product management, including compliance, GRC or workflow platforms.
Fluency in governance concepts: segregation of duties, control evidence, audit trail, periodic review.
Strong written reasoning - specs here are read by engineers, auditors and executives alike.

Nice to have

Prior work on AI governance, DPIA tooling or validated computerised systems.

Staff Security Engineer

Own the security posture of a platform whose entire value depends on being trusted with governance evidence: identity, tenancy, secrets, storage, logging and enterprise security review.

What you will own

Lead threat modelling and secure design review across the control plane and integrations.
Own the security evidence programme and responses to enterprise security questionnaires.
Drive detection, logging, incident response readiness and controlled release practice.
Advance readiness towards recognised assurance standards without overstating status publicly.

What we look for

8+ years in application or cloud security engineering for SaaS products.
Hands-on with enterprise identity, RBAC design, encryption, key and secret management.
Experience supporting customer security due diligence in regulated sectors.

Nice to have

Familiarity with OWASP GenAI guidance and AI-specific threat modelling.

10+ years in enterprise SaaS sales or solution leadership, ideally GRC, quality or risk software.
Credibility in front of regulated-industry executives and technical evaluation teams.
Comfort selling an evidence-led product without overclaiming compliance outcomes.

Nice to have

Existing network across pharma, financial services or critical infrastructure.
